He started his career at Servier where he contributed to the discovery of ivabradine as a co-inventor. Until the end of 2020 he was the head of Cardiovascular Research at Sanofi focusing on the development of new treatments in selected areas of unmet medical need where emerging science and a better understanding of human disease biology can be intersected with heart failure at the core. During his career he developed a long standing experience in the management of international R&D groups and in leading multiple research collaborations with biotechs (ie. MyoKardia) and academic institutions (ie. IMI).

Marie-Laure Ozoux has 30-years of experience in worldwide healthcare industry in both preclinical and clinical drug development (oncology, immunology, cardiovascular…) with particular expertise in development of biotherapeutics. She successfully contributed to the development of drugs such as Lovenox, Sarclisa… She held senior roles in a diverse array of activities including large group management with multiple teams dedicated to biomarkers and biological analyses from genes to proteins and research project head. Marie-Laure is a graduate of the University of Paris V (Docteur en Pharmacie) with a specialization in pharmacokinetics from the same university and MBA from IAE (Institut d'Administration des Entreprises de Paris)

Regis brings more than 30 years of experience in the areas of finance, structuring and management of health technology companies. Prior to joining Corteria, Regis was CEO of Axess Vision Technology, a company dedicated to the development of single-use medical endoscopes where he led the launch of new products and successfully completed new financing rounds. Also former CFO of Echosens, a medical technology company specializing in the non-invasive detection of liver disease, he completed the structuring and sale of the company in 2011. Previously, he held several positions as a financial analyst and financial controller in several industrial companies. Régis holds a Master degree in Management and Finance from EDC Paris.

Francesca is a physician with 30+ years’ experience in drug development encompassing phase 1 through phase 3 registrational trials and life cycle management. Her specialized expertise is in cardio-metabolic diseases. She joined Corteria from Applied Therapeutics, a clinical-stage biotechnology company, where, as the Head of Development and later VP, Clinical and Regulatory Strategy, she was responsible for the development of novel drug candidates for diabetic cardiomyopathy and rare diseases. Prior to Applied Therapeutics, she was the Associate VP and Head of Cardiovascular Outcome Trials in Diabetes at Sanofi. Francesca received her MD degree (magna cum laude) from La Sapienza University of Rome, Italy and an advanced degree in Clinical Pharmacology (magna cum laude) from the Catholic University of Rome, Italy.

Mark has 30 years of drug discovery and early development experience in CV disease. Until 2021 he was CSO of CardioRenal drug discovery at Lilly Research Laboratories. Mark built an expert team which produced a portfolio of heart failure and dyslipidemia assets now in clinical development. He fostered external collaborations for human target validation and managed Biotech partnerships. Previously he was Senior Director of CV at Pfizer and a Research Scientist at BMS. Mark received his PhD at the Australian National University, Canberra, Australia.

Eléonore has 15 years of experience in international pharmaceutical global project management. She is a Pharmacist and holds a PhD in Pharmacotechny and Biopharmacy from Paris XI University. She started her career at Biogaran as a project manager in industrial transfers and production, leading 20+ tech-transfers and launches. She then joined Substipharm where she successfully managed more than 30 development plans from R&D to scale-up and tech-transfer steps. Facilitating drug access to patients has always been of personal importance to Eléonore, leading her to join Corteria.

Prior to joining Corteria, Stéphane Durant des Aulnois served as Chief Financial Officer & Head of Alliances and Business development at Lysogene, a ph3 gene therapy company listed on Euronext, where he successfully led capital raising activities and closed the acquisition of two assets. Previously, Stéphane Durant des Aulnois spent nine years at Ipsen, first as Vice-President Head of Investor Relations for the Group, then as CFO of Ipsen Iberia, in charge of financial, procurement and supply chain activities. Earlier in his career, he worked in Private Equity at LaSalle Investment management, at Calyon Americas and at Exane BNP Paribas as a sell-side research Analyst.
He holds a master’s degree (MSc) in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics (LSE) and in Management from Paris Dauphine University. He also holds an Executive Leadership degree from Harvard Business School.
